I have had this scratcher for about three months. I have been buying several scratchers over the past year because my cats like to scratch the couches. My cats do not like the smaller cardboard scratchers because they are not at an incline and they move when my cats scratch them. They also are not that interested in the turbo scratcher with the ball. At first my cats didn’t warm up to this scratcher as much, although they really liked the toy. However, now they enjoy the scratcher 200%. I also give them a treat when they scratch where they are supposed to scratch.

I have been using a lot of double-sided carpet tape (you can get it at most hardware stores in the carpet section.) I attach it to where the cats scratch so that they get sticky paws and don’t want to scratch there again. I also use it to attach this scratcher to the floor so it doesn’t move when my cats scratch.

Try this scratcher before you try the expensive scratchers that cost or more. Also, anchor it to the floor with carpet tape.

Our 5 yr old female lab all of a sudden became aggressive to other neighbor dogs during walks. We needed something more than the shock collar to control her if she lunged for another dog. Our vet recommended a pinch collar. I don’t like the looks of the wire ones and I think they cause other people to be frightened of a mostly nice dog. So I tried this one. It has worked very well for us. It looks innocuous and allows even my wife to hold this 74 pound dog if she makes for another dog – we have put it to the test several times already. The dog now seems to know better that lunging is not a good idea and is improving her behavior. For that matter she was never that great on a leash, always tugging and yanking this way and that – with this collar a very gentle tug brings her along very obediently. Our collar is sized just right that we can easily slip it over her head on and off yet have no worries that she’ll slip out of it. Popping the links on and off are a little bit of a trick so we avoid that; if we used that feature more we’d probably get adept at it. We have 2 boys 9 and 12 who walk the dog sometimes – they can hold her with this collar – and better yet, I think the points on this collar are less hazardous to the dog than a comparable wire collar when the boys are putting it on the dog. Since we’ve only had it a couple months we can’t speak to the long term durability, hence the 4 star rating. So far we are very pleased and the price is right. I sent info to my vet as he may not have known of this collar option.

This product is precisely what is described. A granite slab. It does its job well, keeping chinchillas cool. The only complaint about it is the price. You can go to a supply store and grab a slab of granite or marble etc for a ton less, especially if it’s a scrap slab or was destined for the trash and they don’t have to cut it or anything. They may even give it to you free if you tell them what it’s for because it’s too small to use for anything. But, if you’re like me and don’t want to deal with people then this is the next best thing. Next time I will make the extra effort to go to a store that sells countertops/material and the like though, I’m not too fond of wasting money.

It is good if you have a super pet cage though with those horrible plastic shelves. The stone fits nicely on an end of the shelf. Chinchillas are likely to eat the plastic and since they can’t digest it it just sits in their GI tract, blocking other food from being metabolised. I do actually have a super pet cage with the aforementioned horrible shelves, but thankfully my chin doesn’t chew the plastic as I’ve watched her in it for weeks now. I plan on replacing the shelves anyways in the near future. Just a word of caution to you chin owners out there.

We recently got a cockapoo rescue. He has some behavior issues and a visit to a groomer was not something we were eager to try just yet. I remembered I had a ‘mat buster’ for my old English sheepdog years ago. I found this Safari mat remover online and it seemed to be a smaller version of what I had before so went to PetSmart to get one. They don’t carry it in their stores, I think it competes too much with their grooming salon services! So I ordered from Amazon and it quickly came from this company. It’s great! Our dog is apprehensive about most things but he tolerates brief sessions with this grooming aid, followed by regular brushing. His coat is the typical poodle/cocker hair, not much for shedding but inclined to small tangles and mats. I have most of his coat looking great and able to pass a comb through what had been a nightmare. I only hope the blades will stay sharp for a while, but it is cheap enough to order another when needed. If our hypersensitive guy will tolerate use of this mat remover, it definitely doesn’t cause much discomfort. If used gently and briefly, I could recommend it for any long-haired breed with mats and tangles.

Best Price Cheap Resco Trim Replacement Blade Kit #400 Discount Review Shop

We prefer the ‘guillotine’ style of claw clipper for our five cats as it is less likely to shred the claw and does a neater job of removing the tip. We also find it easier to use than the ’scissor’ type clipper, but be sure to get some replacement blades, otherwise you will begin to shred your cat’s claws.

We’ve been using the Resco brand trimmer ever since our Humane Society friend clued us into the product. It’s a very sturdy clipper and the blades are easy to replace–just don’t remove the two little screws like I did before reading the directions–press down on the blade ejector tab and the blade pops right out.

These are heavy-duty blades, and you can go for quite awhile (up to a year) between replacements.
